Two beers at 1840 Brewing Company

10 Beer Events Brewing This Week in Milwaukee: Aug. 4-8

The steady flow of great beer releases never seems to stop. This week, 1840 Brewing Company celebrates its third year with three big ones.

Tuesday, Aug. 4

Gathering Place Brewing is taking over the taps at The Landing at Hoyt Park (1800 N. Swan Blvd.) from 3 to 9 p.m.

Wisconsin IPA Fest, usually held at Third Space Brewing, is going virtual this year. The Zoom event isn’t until August 22, but you can order your package now. It includes 12 Wisconsin-made IPAs, a sticker and a pretty cool glass.

Wednesday, Aug. 5

This is a fantastic pairing idea. On Saturday at 7 p.m., MobCraft Beer is hosting a Zoom event pairing beer with salsa. That’s right, four different beers matched with four different salsas. Orders close at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, so plan ahead. Check out the details on the MobCraft event page.

Thursday, Aug. 6

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) celebrates National IPA Day with a few specials beers from Drekker Brewing.

The Lokal Beer Garden (8415 W. Sura Ln.) is hosting a Lakefront Brewery tap event. The menu includes 2017 Black Friday Rye Edition. Reason enough. The tapping starts at 4 p.m.

Indeed Brewing (530 S. 2nd St.) is releasing its Pistachio Cream Ale in its Walker’s Point taproom. Preorder for growlers and crowlers is available online.

Friday, Aug. 7

1840 Brewing is celebrating its third anniversary over the weekend and releasing three amazing beers in the process. Online presale begins at 9 a.m. and pickup at 1840 Brewing happens over the weekend. The beers are Three Years of Slow Beer Barrel-Aged Stout, Rainbow Baby Double IPA and Analog Grain Grisette. Yep, they’ll be worth getting.

Saturday, Aug. 8

Eagle Park Brewing (S64 W15640 Commerce Center Pkwy, Muskego) will be busy this weekend. Pick up for Booze for Breakfast Barrel-Aged Stout starts at 11 a.m. Tickets went on sale Monday, and if you didn’t get one become friends with someone who did.

Gathering Place (811 E. Vienna Ave.) releases Dom German Pale Ale on tap. Crowler orders start on Friday.

Component Brewing is pouring its beers at the beer garden at Historical Park (19885 W. National Ave., New Berlin) from noon to 8 p.m.
