10 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: May 4-8

Star Wars Day, Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day are all happening this week. Also, there are quite a few beer events.

Tuesday, May 4

The latest Small Tank Series beer, Pink Boots Society IPA, is available at Lakefront Brewery. Preorder begins at 9 a.m. and pickup happens from 4 to 9 p.m. The beer is made with blend of five hops, and one buck from every bottle benefits the Wisconsin chapter of the Pink Boots Society. You can’t lose.

Wednesday, May 5

The Tap Yard opens its Waukesha beer garden (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) for the first time at 4 p.m. Nick Marking hosted some amazing beer events when he owned The Brass Tap, expect more of the same from his Tap Yard locations this summer.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 E. North Ave.) celebrates Cinco de Mayo with chimichangas, free chips and salsa, and their delicious beer.

Thursday, May 6

The Tap Yard Waukesha isn’t wasting any time making a splash (see above). Five amazing Toppling Goliath brews are taking over some of the taps from 4 to 9 p.m.

Friday, May 7

Infinite Encore DIPA is the weekly release at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.). The beer is brewed and double dry-hopped with Mosaic hops. Presale is from 9 a.m. to 3p.m. Pickup is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Eagle Park Brewing is taking over nearly two dozen taps at The Tap Yard Waukesha from 4 to 10 p.m. That’s a lot of really good beer.

Try samples from Central Waters Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Indeed Brewing is handing out samples at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 8

Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.) is releasing its version of Things We Don’t Say at 2 p.m. Eagle Park Brewing teamed with Hope For the Day to spearhead a beer that raises awareness about mental health. Gathering Place’s take on the beer is a dry-hopped IPL.

Indeed Brewing will be at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.
