10 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Jan. 29-Feb. 2

Mitten Fest returns to Burnhearts! That’s cause for rejoicing, as is the slew of other beer-related events happening this week.

Wednesday, Jan. 29

MKE Bento comes to 1840 Brewing (342 E. Ward St.) for a pop-up beer dinner. The five-course menu includes beer pairings and costs $100.

Thursday, Jan. 30

Kegel’s Inn (5901 W. National Ave.) begins a monthly comedy series, Prost & Punchlines! from 6 to 8 p.m. in their Bootlegger’s Alley tent. Cost is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Saturday, Feb. 1

Mitten Fest, Milwaukee’s legendary winter outdoor block party, returns to Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.) from noon to 8 p.m. Bundle up and enjoy live music, several beer rarities, great drinks and general frivolity.

It’s National Marquette Day at Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.), which will be pouring Marquette Golden Ale and giving away tickets to the 8 p.m. tipoff against UConn.

Brewfinity is pouring beers at the Pints in the Park Winter Pop-Up Beer Garden at the Sussex Civic Center (N64 W23760 Main St.) from 4 to 8 p.m.

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) hosts its fifth S’mores and Pours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. They’ll be lighting up a few cozy fires, providing the ingredients to make great s’mores, and offering a few rare stouts to wash it all down.

Try samples of Third Space’s Marquette Golden Ale at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 1 to 4 p.m.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) takes the classic game of Chutes & Ladders up a notch by adding beer to the mix at the Beer Shots & Ladders Tournament. Check the event site to find out how to sign up.

Sunday, Feb. 2

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) hosts the Engine 19 Chili and Jambalaya Cookoff. For $16, you can taste as much chili as you can handle from 1 to 4 p.m. Plenty of taps provide beer to wash it down.

Black Husky Brewing hosts its third annual Bluegrass Gospel Brunch at noon.

Wednesday, Feb. 12: It’s Galentine’s Day at Component Brewing (2018 S. 1st St.). For just $30, women can enjoy quality time with their besties, a beer and food.

Friday, Feb. 14: Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) loves Valentine’s Day. As per usual, they’ll be hosting weddings and large-scale vow renewals. See the events page for details.

Saturday, Feb. 15: The Great Stoutdoors winter street party is happening at 1840 Brewing Company (342 E. Ward St.) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be rarities on tap, plenty of food, fire pits, and more.
