Merriment Social’s Andrew Miller has shared architectural renderings of the new restaurant ‒ Third Coast Provisions ‒ he and his Merriment partners are developing on Milwaukee Street. The stunning looking two-floor space (the former home of Carnevor steakhouse, 724 N. Milwaukee St.) will offer an oyster bar in the basement’s more casual, “boisterous” environment, with a focus on happy hour and late-night service. The street-level dining room will offer a more traditional experience, says Miller. Plates will include whole grilled fish, “over-the-top” lobster pot pie, chowdah fries, and several variations on New Orleans-style char-broiled oysters. The group is working with Chicago’s CBD Architects to design the space with elements including brass, white marble and mother-of-pearl. The opening date is sometime this summer.
Meanwhile, in our July issue cover story, “Best New Restaurants,” Miller is one of the local chefs who shared where he likes to dine when he gets a night off. Click here to read more.
