Milwaukee is home to dozens of leagues – from cribbage and trivia to pool and volleyball – and now we can add a new karaoke league to our roster. Beginning Tuesday, September 26, Yokohama will launch its Tuesday Yoko Karaoke Leagues

Four- to five-person teams will perform each Tuesday for eight weeks, with teams battling at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. For participants who thrive on a little liquid courage, $10 beer pitchers, $2 sake bombs and $4 vodka mixers will be available to the teams. All patrons and league members at the karaoke bar will be given ballots to write in their two favorite performances. If there is a tie, a sing-off will take place and the winner will be determined by applause. Weekly prizes will be announced at the beginning of the season.

Teams will compete in the league finals on Tuesday, November 14, where prizes and trophies will be awarded and a grand champion will be crowned. The grand prize winner will receive a trophy, gift certificates from sponsoring restaurants and a $500 cash prize.

Registration is $60 per team and includes five league T-shirts. Don’t forget to rehearse your routines, dress up and have a blast!
