Angela Iannone will play Lady Bracknell in In Tandem Theatre Company’s musical version of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest.”

In recent years, Angela Iannone has played movie star Katharine Hepburn and opera diva Maria Callas. But these real and powerful women would wilt in the presence of Iannone’s next role, the imperious Lady Bracknell of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.

Iannone played the part last fall with New York City’s Titan Theatre Company, and here she’ll take another crack at it, tunefully, as In Tandem Theatre Company stages Anne Croswell and Lee Pockriss’ musical version of Wilde’s classic play, called Ernest In Love (April 22-May 15).
