It’s fitting that Art Smart’s Dart Mart & Juggling Emporium (1695 N. Humboldt Ave.) opened on April Fool’s Day. Besides selling the aerial amusements mentioned in the business’s name, it’s also the place to get that whoopee cushion, fake vomit and wind-up chattering teeth you’ve been looking for. It’s been servicing the niche hobbyist since 1985.  Need some kites? Golf discs? A boomerang? They’ve got those, too.

“Kids love this place,” says manager Tim Drury, who was with owner Jim Boland the liquid-fueled night at nearby Wolski’s that the shop got its offbeat name. (No, there is no actual Art Smart.) “Somehow it stuck.”
