Where to Watch 4th of July Fireworks in the Milwaukee Area

Even though Milwaukee’s July 3rd fireworks are canceled this year, there are still plenty of ways to catch a display this Independence Day.

Though Milwaukee’s July 3rd Fireworks may be canceled this year, there are still plenty of other spots throughout the city to enjoy the festivities. Here are the spots in and around Milwaukee where you can catch a fireworks display (and other festivities!) this 4th of July.

1. Alcott Park 

JULY 4 AT 9:15 A.M. | 3751 S. 97TH ST.

Alcott Park is hosting an event filled day, with its parade running from 9:45-10:30 a.m., followed by kid-friendly activities, like crafts and games, into the afternoon. Prior to the fireworks display, Alcott Park will host a 50/50 raffle event to kick it off – tickets can be purchased throughout the day. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. 

2. Gordon Park

JULY 4 AT 9 A.M. | 2828 N. HUMBOLDT BLVD. 

The parade begins at 11 a.m., and after, attendees can enjoy ice cream and root beer while listening to speeches, music and performances. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m.

3. Humboldt Park 

JULY 4 AT 9 A.M. | 3000 S. HOWELL AVE.

Humboldt Park begins its parade at 9 a.m. Following the conclusion of the parade, there will be a donut and donut hole eating contest, “The Princess of Magic” children’s performance, children’s decorated vehicle contest and parade, a talent contest at Chalet and pre-firework entertainment. Fireworks at at 9:15 p.m. 

4. Lake Park 

JULY 4 AT 9 A.M. | 3233 E. KENWOOD BLVD.

Parades for Lake Park will begin at Riverside Park and Maryland Avenue School. Beginning at 11 a.m., guests can enjoy a water balloon toss and a decorating competition for bikes, trikes, coasters and buggy’s. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. 

5. Mitchell Park

JULY 4 AT 9 A.M. | 2600 W. PIERCE ST. 

Mitchell Park will have three start locations for its parades, which all begin at 9 a.m. Starting at 11:45 a.m. the pie eating contest will begin. Prior to the fireworks show, guests can listen to live DJ music. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. 

6. Wilson Park 

JULY 4 AT 8:15 A.M. | 1601 W. HOWARD AVE. 

Kick-off for Wilson Park’s parade will begin at 9 a.m., with ice cream at the conclusion in Wilson Park. At 10:30 a.m., The Milwaukee Flyers, a DJ and bounce houses will be available, along with food and drinks for purchase. Fireworks are at 9:15 p.m. 

7. City of South Milwaukee

JULY 4 AT 10 A.M. | GRANT PARK AREA #5, 5A AND 6

City of South Milwaukee is hosting its celebration in Grant Park. Following the conclusion of the parade, there are various games for children to play, with prizes for the top five finishers. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.. There is a rain date of July 5. 

8. Glendale

JULY 4 AT 10 A.M. | KLETZSCH PARK

Glendale will host its festivities at Kletzsch Park. The day’s main events include: the full parade at 10:30 a.m. and the super soak courtesy of North Shore Fire Rescue at 5 p.m. Throughout the day there will be bounce houses, food trucks, dunk tanks and live music. The fireworks will begin at dusk. 

9. Cudahy 

JULY 4 AT 12 P.M. | LIBRARY SQUARE

Beginning at Grange and Packard Ave., the Cudahy parade will start at 12 p.m. From 1-6 p.m. there will be food, live music and games in Library Square, with free ice cream and cracker jack. The aerial display fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m.

10. Franklin 

JULY 3-7 | FRANKLIN 

A full weekend of events will be held at various locations in Franklin. Festivities include carnival rides, food, children’s activities, music, fireworks, drone light show and a parade. Fireworks are on July 4 at 9:30 p.m., and on July 5 at 9:30, there will be a drone light show. For a full list of events and information about purchasing wristbands, click here

11. West Allis 

JULY 2 AND 4 | WEST ALLIS ATHLETIC COMPLEX

West Allis will host its parade on July 2 at 7 p.m. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. on July 4, guests can enjoy live music, food trucks and fireworks, which start at 9:30 p.m. Parking is $10 per car and $5 per motorcycle.

12. Racine 4th Fest

JULY 4 AT 8:30 A.M. | MAIN STREET, RACINE

Racine is celebrating its 88th Fourth of July Parade. The parade kicks off at 9 a.m., and fireworks begin at North Beach around 8:45 p.m. For more information, click here
