The free app offers delivery from some 70 local restaurants to Milwaukee, Tosa, West Allis, Shorewood and other areas.
Transportation technology giant Uber launches the restaurant delivery service UberEats today (Thursday, Feb. 16) in Milwaukee. The service offers access to full menus from more than 70 Milwaukee-area restaurants, according to a press release.
The application, available at UberEats.com, is a free download for iOS (Apple’s operating system) and Android. After logging into the app, users choose the restaurant and menu item and pay with a registered credit card. Users also pay a flat $4.99 booking fee, along with the cost of the menu item and any applicable sales taxes.
Delivery is available in Milwaukee, Greenfield, Wauwatosa, West Allis and Shorewood. The list of restaurants (expected to expand) includes AJ Bombers, Bollywood Grill, Bumstead Provisions, Casablanca, Dandan, FreshFin Poke, Harry’s Bar & Grill, Kanpai, Merriment Social, Saketumi, Pastiche and Smoke Shack.
