Top 3 Things to Do in Milwaukee This July

Not all July events have been canceled.

1. Original One Act Festival

JULY 10-20

The hosts of this West Allis short play festival, now in its 35th year, are confident they’ll still be able to hold the event in some capacity this month, though they may decide to livestream the plays instead of putting them on in person. Visit villageplayhouse.org for more info.

2. Virtual Storm the Bastille 5K Run

JULY 9-12

You won’t be running in this 5K alongside 5,000 of your closest friends, but you can still have fun completing the course. Just register for the event at easttown.com and have your shirt and bib shipped to your door. Then run any time between July 9 and 12 and share your results online.

3. Chalk the State

JULY 25 & 26

The Museum of Wisconsin Art’s annual chalk art festival has been canceled. But don’t let that get you down. MOWA is teaming up with arts organizations across the state to encourage locals all over Wisconsin to chalk up their driveways and sidewalks this weekend. Visit chalkthestate.com to find out whether any organizations in your community are planning to take part.
