Theater
This musical, inspired by Adrienne Shelly’s 2007 film of the same name, satisfies as much as a slice of protagonist Jenna’s pie. Jenna dreams of winning a small-town baking competition and spending her winnings on a new, better life. Her story is sweet, but not cloyingly so. Catch the production at the Marcus Center for Performing Arts (929 N. Water St.) from Tuesday, January 2 through Sunday, January 7.
