37th Annual WAMI Awards
Area musicians and industry members are honored at the 37th Annual WAMI Awards this Sunday, April 23, at Turner Hall. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; then beginning at 7 p.m., see the show featuring live performances from talent like The Prince Experience, The Pukes, Bella Cain and many more. 


Three Cellars 1st Anniversary Party
Three Cellars celebrates the one-year anniversary of their Menomonee Falls location and you’re invited! Between noon and 11 p.m. this Saturday, April 22, celebrate with special beers on tap and bottles of wine to try by-the-glass. Also, Hidden Kitchen MKE’s food truck will serve a specialty menu for guests to enjoy outside.

Two days of art-filled activities are coming to Milwaukee this Friday and Saturday, April 21-22. For the 29th year, contributors like the Pfister’s Artist in Residence set up displays for one day only. Each vendor’s hours differ, so check online to find your favorites before heading to the Historic Third Ward for this event. As part of Gallery Night, the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel will also launch Unadorned Magazine’s V.2 Monarch issue on Friday, from 5-9 p.m., featuring avant-garde content for the inspired couple. 


Kids Night Out
Or should we say Parents Night Out? Drop the kids off at Kids in Motion this Saturday evening, April 22, from 6-9 p.m. Goodbyes will be all too easy as kids enjoy pizza, snacks and drinks, as well as laser tag, arts and crafts and special movie feature. Ages 3-10 are welcome with advanced registration.  


Supper Club Saturday
The Milwaukee Athletic Club is hosting a supper club-themed dinner in the President’s room on Saturday, April, 22. The menu will feature traditional supper club fareincluding, one can only assume, relish trays galore.

Two hours is all it takes to dance back in time with the humorous and heartfelt love story Bloomsday, the current feature at Next Act Theatre on Water Street. We dubbed this Irish story both “dreamy” and “meditative.” See the many fine actor of the production, directed by Joseph Hanreddy, this weekend


Joseph Kuefler visits Boswell Books

The author of Rulers of the Playground, Joseph Kuefler, visits Boswell Books this weekend, Friday, April 21 at 4 p.m. Discover as young Jonah decides to become ruler of the playground, but soon realizes he’s not alone in his quest to reign. Also featured on Friday evening, dirt cupcakes from Miss Cupcake in Shorewood. 

Beer Run 5K

Third Space Brewing’s Beer Run

Alcohol and agility come together this Saturday, April 22, for a casual 5k beer run, kicking off at Third Space Brewing. Registration ($30) gets runners a free beer and a commemorative pint glass. The run starts at 11 a.m. and is part of the Brewery Running Series.
