1. Nina Simone: Four Women

ALL WEEKEND | MILWAUKEE REPERTORY THEATER 

This is the last weekend to see Nina Simone: Four Women, which tells the story of Nina Simone and features some of her hit songs, including “Everything Must Change,” “To Be Young, Gifted and Black” and more. 

2. Women’s Entrepreneurship Week: Building the Table

FRIDAY FROM 8 A.M. – 9 P.M. | CHARLES ALLIS ART MUSEUM 

Hosted by She Stands Tall, Women’s Entrepreneurship Week celebrates connection and innovation for women entrepreneurs in the community. 3. Mount Mary University CREO Student Fashion Show

FRIDAY FROM 1-9 P.M. | MOUNT MARY UNIVERSITY

This annual student-run fashion show showcases the work of design and merchandise management majors at Mount Mary University. There are three shows on Friday, 1 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. 

4. Virtual Book Talk: Milwaukee in Stone & Clay

FRIDAY FROM 2-3 P.M. | VIRTUAL

Co-hosted by Boswell Books and Historic Milwaukee, author Raymond Wiggers dives into Milwaukee’s geology found around the city’s architecture in this virtual book talk. Raymond has two years of experience in leading architectural geology tours. The information presented will also be available after the virtual event. This event is free but requires registration

5. Arts@Large Jazz Jam Session

FRIDAY FROM 7-9 P.M. | ARTS@LARGE

Hosted by Jeanne Marie Farinelli & Friends, this event invites audience members, jazz enjoyers and musicians to participate in an open jam session. Anyone of all ages and skill levels can join in the fun. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event is free.

6. Division Semifinals Game 4 – Milwaukee Admiral vs. Texas Stars

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. | UW-MILWAUKEE PANTHER ARENA

For those who already miss the cold weather or are fans of hockey, the Admirals has made it to the semifinals. Watch Game 4 at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena this Friday.

7. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. | THE RAVE

The 90’s hit group, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are back on tour, making a stop at The Rave. Tickets are buy one, get one free (online only for general admission).

8. Pewaukee Kiwanis RiverRun

SATURDAY FROM 6:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. | KOEPP RIVER PARKWAY

For the past 50 years, canoe and kayak fanatics have participated in this six mile timed race from the Koepp River Parkway in Pewaukee all the way to Frame Park in Waukesha. Join in the tradition this Saturday.

9. Kids Cooking Class

SATURDAY FROM 9-11 A.M. | MAGGIANO’S MILWAUKEE

 Maggiano’s Little Italy is known for its Italian cuisine but this time the restaurant is giving the opportunity to kids to learn how to prepare a chocolate dessert and make a craft. Adults must buy a separate ticket to attend with their child but can enjoy a breakfast buffet. Tickets are available online.

10. World Bonsai Day

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M. – 4 P.M. | LYNDEN SCULPTURE GARDEN

World Bonsai Day honors bonsai master Saburo Kato. To celebrate, the Lynden Sculpture Garden is re-opening its bonsai garden and offering presentations and demonstrations. This event is free. 

11. Poetry Reading: Rachel Galvin and Angela Voras-Hills

SATURDAY FROM 7-8 P.M. | WOODLAND PATTERN BOOKSTORE

Milwaukee’s poetry bookstore is hosting another live reading with two award-winning and recognized poets, Rachel Galvin and Angela Voras-Hills. Learn more about the poets and register here

12. House Your Body

SATURDAY AT 9 P.M. | MAD PLANET

Mad Planet is hosting a night of House music, classic hits and new, up and coming tracks with Jonn Hawley, Andrew Optimist & guests Don Black and Lurky. This event is 21+ with a $7 cover fee.
