1. Milwaukee Boat Show

ALL WEEKEND | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR PARK EXPOSITION CENTER

Want to see more boats out of water beyond the Milwaukee Boat? This weekend is the last chance to see over 300 boats at Milwaukee’s Boat Show, Wisconsin’s largest boating exposition. There will be seminars, displays and more to make a day of it. 

2. Hootenanny

FRIDAY FROM 6-8 P.M. | SCHLITZ AUDUBON NATURE CENTER

Honor the owl with line dancing and craft-making at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. This event is for all ages and refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are available online.

3. Live Music! Peter Irving

FRIDAY FROM 6:30-8:30 P.M. | POMONA CIDER CO.

Peter Irving is a multi-instrumental Milwaukee-based artist with Americana flare. He’ll be at Pomona Cider Co. for a live performance accompanied by the cidery’s food and drink menu. This event is free.

4. Salsa Night: MAM After Dark

FRIDAY FROM 7-11 P.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM

MAM After Dark is back, and the first installation of the event is this Friday. Learn how to dance salsa, explore Hispanic and Latino art and show up in your most vibrant outfit for their 360° photo booth. Tickets are available online or at the door.

5. Dry Cocktails: A Non-Alcoholic Evening

FRIDAY FROM 7-10 P.M. | LUPI & IRIS

Participating in dry January? Lupi & Iris has created a five-course dinner paired with non-alcoholic beverages. Get tickets and view the menu, which includes Orecchiette Pasta with Chorizo a la Pomodoro and Winter Roasted Chicken with Root Vegetables, on the restaurant’s website

6. Milwaukee Admirals

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M AND SATURDAY AT 6 P.M. | UWM PANTHER ARENA

The Milwaukee Admirals have two games this weekend at the UWM Panther Arena against the Charlotte Checkers. Tickets are available online.

7. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AT 7:30 | MILWAUKEE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

This weekend’s program at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra features Concertmaster Jinwoo Lee performing songs inspired by poems and literature. Mostly famously, the orchestra will be playing Tchaikovsky’s piece that was influenced by the star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet. Tickets are available online.

8. Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market

SATURDAY FROM 9 A.M.-2 P.M. | THE FONDY FOOD CENTER

This Saturday marks the end of session one at Fondy’s Winter Farmers Market, so it’s the last chance to get fresh winter produce. The market supports local producers who provide various fruits and vegetables, freshly baked goods and health and wellness products.

9. Lynden Sculpture Garden Winter Carnival

SATURDAY FROM 10 A.M.-4 P.M. | LYNDEN SCULPTURE GARDEN

Welcome this frigid winter weather with outdoor art-making, tree walks, scavenger hunts and whatever activities the weather permits this Saturday. The carnival is driven by local artists and encourages hands-on activities. Admission is free and there will be food and hot drinks available.

10. Urban Seed Exchange

SATURDAY FROM 11 A.M.-2 P.M. | WANTABLE CAFE

You can start getting ready for the gardening season at Wantable Café this Saturday. Attendees will learn about urban gardening and sustainable living from local experts and educators. Attendees can also exchange seeds and plants.

11. Ice Bear Fest

SATURDAY FROM NOON-7 P.M. | THIRD SPACE BREWING

Third Space Brewing is hosting its fifth annual Ice Bear Fest – an ’80s themed ski party with food, live music, a costume contest and beer, of course. The event coincides with the brewery’s annual release of their Ice Bear Baltic Porter. The event is free.

12. Wicked Skate Night

SATURDAY FROM 5-8 P.M. | RED ARROW PARK

Dance through life on the ice at Slice of Ice at Red Arrow Park to the Wicked soundtrack. This all-ages event features free skate rentals, a “Defying Gravity” live performance and surprise giveaways throughout the night.

13. West Coast Swing Classes

SATURDAY FROM 7:30-11:30 P.M. | DELAWARE HOUSE

All skill levels can swing into the Milwaukee Rebel’s swing dance classes. Workshops begin at 7:30 p.m., or you can join the dance floor at 8:30. No preregistration is required, but there is a fee at the door.

14. The Simon & Garfunkel Story

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | MARCUS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

The Simon & Garfunkel Story is taking a stop in Milwaukee this weekend, bringing the legendary music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel to the stage. The concert-style show features a full live band, projection photos and original film footage of the duo. Tickets are available online.

15. Winter Crafternoons

SUNDAY FROM NOON-3 P.M. | THE SUGAR MAPLE

Get ready for Valentine’s Day by learning how to make ribbon rose bouquets for $15 per person, or bring your own craft to The Sugar Maple for free. Participants are welcome to bring their own food and/or enjoy refreshments from Sugar Maple.
