1. Gallery Talk: “Robert Longo: The Acceleration of History”

FRIDAY FROM 12-1 P.M. | MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM

Margaret Andera, the senior curator of contemporary art, is giving an in-depth exploration of Robert Longo’s The Acceleration of History. Explore the topics showcased within the charcoal medium for free with museum admission. 

2. Conniption “The Theatre of Invention” Album Release Show 

FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. | THE MIRAMAR THEATRE 

The Theatre of Invention is heading to the Miramar Theatre for an all ages album release show this weekend. With special guests Imperial Fall and The Truck, the doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.

3. Unicorn World 

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY | WISCONSIN STATE FAIR EXPO CENTER

Have you ever wanted to pet a unicorn? Unicorn World’s family fun event gives you the chance. Find a play areas filled with life sized unicorns, dance party, arts and crafts, mermaid meet and greets, and more. 

4. New Year Spin & Planning

SATURDAY FROM 10:45 A.M.-12 P.M. | POWERCYCLE 

Power Cycle is hosting an energizing spin class that leads into a new year goal planning session at Stone Creek Coffee. Set your 2025 intentions and resolutions by creating a 2025 bingo card and mood boards with friends. 

5. Yoga + Beer at Lion’s Tail 

SATURDAY FROM 11-11:45 A.M. | LION’S TAIL BREWING CO 

Something about beer and yoga just makes sense.  At this class, you can connect with your body and seal the deal with a cold one. A ticket gets you one beverage of your choice, and there will also be food trucks on site. All guests must bring their own mat.

6. Nobody Fails Social Speed Run 

SATURDAY FROM 12-3 P.M. | KUUMBA JUICE & COFFEE 

Kuumba Juice & Coffee’s social speed running event challenges participants to make as many friends as possible in record time. This event is for everyone – social butterflies and shy guys alike. The event is free to attend, and coffee, food and juice will be available for purchase. 

7. Green Spaces with Familiar Faces 

SATURDAY FROM 1-2:30 P.M. | URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER 

This year, the Urban Ecology Center is hosting a brand new series called Green Spaces with Familiar Faces. Each weekend, a new host will take the group on a guided tour of their favorite green spaces to share stories, insights and what makes the spot so special. 

8. Winterfest

SATURDAY FROM 2:30-4:30 P.M. | MALONE PARK

The sixth annual Winterfest is this weekend, and attendees can enjoy live music, ice skating, mini golf, candlelight hiking, a snowman building contest and more. Entrance is free and food and drink will be available for purchase. All activities are weather dependent and there is a full schedule available online.

9. We Are Family

SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. | SAINT KATE

Juelle Daley, Sait Kate’s curator, is hosting a conversation between exhibit artists Shane-Jahi Jackson and Ellen Holtzblatt about the relevance of family and art. This discussion is free to attend and audience participation is encouraged. 

10. Medieval Fight Night 

SATURDAY FROM 7-11 P.M. | 1900 SOUTH 60TH ST, WEST ALLIS

Hear ye! Hear ye! Are you looking to witness a fierce battle between armored competitors? The Raven’s Nest Armored Combat is hosting Medieval Fight Night this weekend, showcasing duels, pro fights, melees and a grand finale all through competitors wielding steel weapons. 

11. MKE Music Night XCVI 

SATURDAY AT 7:30 P.M. | VIVARIUM 

Vivarium’s MKE Music Night is a showcase of local music talent. The setting is laid back and general admission is standing only. This weekend is a Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute featuring local artists. 

12. The New New 

SATURDAY FROM 9 P.M.-2 A.M. | MAD PLANET 

Mad Planet is hosting a new dance party featuring today’s greatest hits. If you’re addicted to Sabrina, Doechii, Chappell Roan, etc, it’s time to get down. The music is mixed and curated by the Elechronic DJs, the DJ Milkman and Andrew Optimist. 

13. Bingo with My Gnomies

SUNDAY FROM 1-4 P.M. | CHARMBIANCE COCKTAIL LOUNGE 

Have you ever been to a gnome themed bingo? Here’s your chance! Win prizes, have a laugh, and enjoy a cocktail at the Charmbiance Cocktail Lounge this Sunday. Bingo is cash play, seven games for $35. 

14. A Sip From the Depths: Exploring Wine of the Sea 

SUNDAY FROM 6-8 P.M. | THE PFISTER HOTEL 

Take a trip to the sea while tasting exclusive wines that have been aged beneath the Adriatic’s surface. Nick Wood, a partner at Coral Wine, will share his journey into underwater wine aging while participants enjoy a selection of four wines and a curated charcuterie and cheese platter.
