Milwaukee’s iconic Hoan Bridge was lit up on Wednesday for a test of Light the Hoan. In case you missed it, we have some photos for you to check out.
In July, the organization announced that after two years of fundraising, they raised enough money to start installing lights on the west side of the bridge, which is what they’ve been doing throughout the summer.

The Light the Hoan team still needs to fundraise $1.1 million in order to put lights on the east side of the bridge.
This week, Light the Hoan was in its testing phase, but they plan to go dark until the official lighting of the west side of the bridge on Oct. 22. The ceremony will include a music-driven light show from Light the Hoan, Code the Hoan and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee.
