2015 has been an incredible year for music in Milwaukee, so I sat down to discuss the year that was with Kevin Mueller, Sahan Jayasuriya, and Claire Hanan. We talked about the breakout year for the Milwaukee hip-hop scene, this year’s many great benefit shows, women in local music, overlooked albums, the value of best-of lists to local bands and artists, and our favorite albums, songs, and shows from 2015.

This episode also features songs from the bands and artists that were some of our favorites from the year. So at the end of the podcast, you’ll hear “Seasons” by Klassik, “I’m a Man” by Dogs in Ecstasy, “Stutter Bug” by Phylums, “Planet Skin” by Piles, and “Candy” by Platinum Boys. And starting things off is the song “Curtains Closed” by Tenement.
