Milwaukee’s Bobblehead Museum Is in the Running for Top Pop Culture Museum

If you think the Third Ward museum deserves the win, vote in USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward neighborhood has been selected by USA Today as one of the country’s top 20 pop culture museums. Now, it’s up to the public to decide the Top 10 through USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice voting.

Voting is open until 11 a.m. Central Time on Feb. 13. The top 10 museums, as determined by the public’s vote, which will be revealed on Feb. 24.

“The feedback we’ve received from visitors and the community has been tremendous and we hope they will take a few seconds to vote for us,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar said in a news release.


It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!

 

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, located at 170 S. First St., opened to the public in February 2019.

Visitors from all 50 states and more than 25 countries have come through the doors of the museum, which has a collection of more than 10,000 bobbleheads. Visitors can learn about the history of bobbleheads, how they’re made and the story behind them. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. A virtual tour of the Museum is available for free here

Other pop culture museum nominees include the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, Comic-Con Museum in San Diego, Museum of Clean in Pocatello, Idaho, National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York and the Neon Museum in Las Vegas, among others.
