Milwaukee WingFest Sounds Finger-Licking Good

The festival takes on a Halloween theme this year; you’ll want to pack extra wet wipes to protect your costume from sticky fingers.

Cold beer, fresh wings and live music. Milwaukee WingFest always makes for a tasty and fun-filled day, but this year’s event, dubbed the “Halloween Edition,” will be kicking the fun up a notch as everyone is encouraged to dress in costume. 

Who will be supplying the wings? The list of vendors announced so far includes: Billy Ho’s Pub & Eatery, Brass MonkeyBrunch.The Explorium Brewpub, The GarageJack’s American PubJonny Hammers, The Loaded Slate, Lucky Joe’s, Milwaukee Brat House, The Tap RoomTomken’sWauwatiki Bar & Grill and WingMan’s.

Enjoy performances by Grey:Mercy and Jake Williams while you wash down your chicken with cold beer.

If you’ve got a knack for scarfing down food, the Wing Eating Contest is your time to shine. The first person to finish ten medium-hot wings will win $200; the second-place winner will receive $100 and the third-place winner gets a $25 gift card. The 7th Annual Milwaukee WingFest will be held at State Fair Park (640 S. 84th St., West Allis) on Sunday, October 29 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sales for early bird tickets ($25) end October 23. Tickets include two complimentary beverages (beer, soda or water) and 12 chicken wings, but if you’re still hungry, you can purchase additional wings.
