On Monday, Milwaukee Magazine received the City and Regional Magazine Association award for General Excellence. The organization recognizes magazines from across the country for the best reporting, writing and design.
The judges highlighted Milwaukee Magazine‘s “powerful covers, fresh typefaces [and] section openers,” noting that the magazine “engages readers with an editorial well full of surprises.”
Other nominees in the competitive category included Baltimore Magazine, Hour Detroit, Portland Monthly and Seattle Met.
Milwaukee Magazine was also nominated for three other CRMA awards this year: Feature Design for the August issue “Rise and Dine” package; Reader Service for the September issue “Best of Milwaukee” feature; and Ancillary: Weddings for the January Weddings issue.
