Season’s Screenings, a collection of films that celebrate a wide array of winter holidays, is coming to the Oriental Theatre.
The lineup features films such as The Last Waltz, The Polar Express (in 3D), Meet Me In St. Louis, Fiddler on the Roof, The Apartment, and many more holiday classics.
“This holiday season, immerse yourself in a cinematic wonderland with our special film lineup showcasing timeless classics and modern favorites,” Milwaukee Film Programming Director Kerstin Larson said. “From mischievous antics in Gremlins to heartwarming nostalgia in A Christmas Story, and the enchanting romance of When Harry Met Sally and Carol, there’s something for everyone.”

On Dec. 8, Milwaukee Film will welcome Academy Award nominated filmmaker Whit Stillman to the Oriental Theatre for a special screening of his 1990 film Metropolitan, followed by a Q&A session.
“I have to confess that when we made Metropolitan, we didn’t realize we’d be making what some would later embrace as a ‘Christmas Movie,’ but it is one and we’re delighted that it has served as a pretext to bring the film this December to Milwaukee,” Stillman said.
