Watch Fast Cars at Road America
About an hour north of Milwaukee, Road America hosts Grand Prix races – those are some of the best drivers in the world going at speeds approaching 200 mph. Wow, that’s fast!
Take a Discovery Flight
If flying is the superpower you most crave, then devote a Saturday to finding out how it actually feels in the cockpit of an airplane. Spring City Aviation offers $150 discovery flights with an adult chaperone. Your instructor will talk you through takeoff, turns and cruising thousands of feet in the air.
Go Fly a Kite
Nice weather is kite weather! Head down to the breezy lakefront Veterans Park and Gift of Wings. Pick up a starter kite for $13 and send it flying.
Have a Doggy Day
Devote some quality time to your pooch. Start with a visit to Downtown’s first dog park, which opened last year at 103 W. Clybourn Ave. After your baby is tuckered out, grab a sweet treat (made just for dogs) just around the corner at Salty Paws Ice Cream (121 N. Jefferson St.). Don’t worry – they serve ice cream for humans, too.
Discover Dinosaurs in Kenosha
Dig this: Kenosha has a dinosaur museum! With life-size models, plus a play dig site and dino dress-up, Dinosaur Discovery is worth the drive.
