Get your fill of mint juleps, tasty snacks and chances to win prizes at these Derby Day parties. The 145th annual race starts promptly at 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.
Maxie’s will be hosting the ultimate Derby party with live music, a Derby menu, drink specials, photo booth and best dressed contest. New this year, Maxie’s will also have an indoor VIP area with a buffet, drink tickets and t-shirts. Regular admission is $15, or $60 for VIP access.

The most “lavish party experience,” including bottomless Maker’s Mark Mint Juleps, VIP service, two DJs and jumbo screens galore awaits you at this Derby Day party hosted by the Iron Horse Hotel. The only place in town to bet on the race and party at the same time: Potawatomi is hosting the biggest viewing party of the day in three different rooms. Make sure to wear your best Derby hat for the chance to win up to $300.

When: Off-track betting room opens at 8:30 a.m., festivities begin at 10 a.m.
The Monarch Lounge is hosting a big party with big prizes. Complimentary derby-inspired appetizers on offer include hot chicken sliders, bourbon meatballs and cucumber tea sandwiches. Wash it all down with $7 cocktails. There will also be raffles and prizes for best dressed couple and best hat — including overnight stays at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. And if that’s not enough, this Derby party features real horses (not to mention Millie at the Hilton — in costume)!
