Of the 16 albums cranked out by country star Kenny Chesney in his two-decade career, 14 have gone gold. The storied crooner brings that golden touch to Miller Park, along with guest Eric Church, whose Chief won Album of the Year at the 2012 Country Music Awards. Chesney’s latest, Life on a Rock, was released in April, and its first single, “Pirate Flag,” was edging toward the top 10 of Billboard’s “Hot Country Songs” in March. That was just before the start of his current “No Shoes Nation” tour, which supports an entirely different release – 2012’s Welcome to the Fishbowl. That one debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s chart – just behind the Biebs.
