August 8: Plaid Hawaii DJ Night with Brew City Brass

Get ready to dance at Jazz in the Park this Thursday, August 8 at Cathedral Square Park from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The featured act this week is Plaid Hawaii, an artist making moves in the rising tropical house and indie dance scenes since 2014.

Plaid Hawaii’s Jason Womp is known for his upbeat and blissful live sets that find balance between digital and live instrumentation. His act has been featured at numerous major music festivals and has shared the stage with other notable artists in the scene such as Odesza and GRiZ.

Plaid Hawaii was named one of Magnetic Magazine’s “6 Must-See Artists Playing North Coast Music Festival” in 2016, and the momentum just keeps building. Womp seeks to capture an emotion in his music, rather than jumping on whatever style is trending right now. Watch the video below to get an idea of the tropical dance music Womp will be bringing to Jazz in the Park.
