July 19: The Jay Edward Blues Band

It’s a beautiful Thursday night, and you know what that means: Jazz in the Park! The Jay Edward Band will perform at Jazz in the Park on Thursday, July 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cathedral Square Park. Every member of the band has been playing nearly their whole life and love doing it.

The blues band comprises vocalist Jay Edward, guitarist Jay Stulo, drummer Tom Hansen and bassist Victor “Chico” Johnson. The harmonica-fueled Midwest band has experience ranging from before they were even of age, and although they specialize in the Chicago blues, they have played all over the country, especially Los Angeles.

Whether you’re ready to dance to the beat or have a nice picnic, the Jay Edward Band will be music to your ears. Still not convinced the group is a must-see? The group is up for two Wisconsin Area Music Industry awards, and drummer Tom Hansen is nominated for best drummer.

Check out their album, Chest Pain here and listen to more of their music on their website.
