The Milwaukee Film Festival is offering a sneak peek of programming for its “Sweet Sixteen” edition, which will run from April 11-25.
The dozen films initially being revealed are among that more than 300 that will be part of the festival. Other films will be announced at the end of March.
“Our sweet sixteen festival is shaping up to be as strong as ever,” Milwaukee Film Artistic Director Cara Ogburn said. “Although we are still finalizing a number of films, we can say with confidence that the creativity and resilience of filmmakers and artists has not been slowed by the pandemic nor the dual strikes of 2023. We have more films that we would like to bring to Milwaukee than we have room for.”
