Waltz into a world of cunning tricks at the Goblin King Masquerade, a ball that celebrates Jim Henson’s cult-classic 1986 film Labyrinth. This extravaganza at Turner Hall Ballroom on Jan. 12 and 13 features dance classes, a vendor alley, a drag show and thematic performances cut from the film – all meticulously organized by a die-hard fan. 

“Being a source material enthusiast helps me ensure those details are on point,” says Lisa Romella, owner of Awkward Nerd Events. “The movie is just so incredibly iconic, and who doesn’t love a great excuse to dress up and nerd out with a bunch of friends after the stress and crunch of the holidays?”
