Eggs&Bakin’ Joins Milwaukee’s Food Truck Scene

A new truck specializing in egg sandwiches is canvasing the Downtown streets this summer.

The other day, on an a.m. quest for coffee in the Third Ward, I passed a red food truck parked on Water Street. The sign painted on the truck’s side, “Eggs&Bakin’ ” offered some tangible clues on what it offers. Owner Erin Broderick offers made-to-order, organic egg sandwiches served with organic homemade applesauce. The “bakin’ ” component is a fresh-baked item offered daily. That could be brownies, chocolate chip cookies or cinnamon rolls. Sandwiches include the American Piglet (egg, bacon, cheddar) and The Legend (egg, arugula, green onion, tomato, avocado, havarti and bacon). For updates on the truck’s whereabouts, check its Facebook page.
