When my oldest son was two and three years old, he was fascinated with tractors and construction. Summer in Wisconsin was bliss for him – everywhere we drove he could watch big machines work. I remember feeling lucky that he chose an easily accessible thing to obsess over. I could blow his mind simply by parking in front of any random construction site. I thought of the parents whose children were into princesses and castles or space and dinosaurs and how bringing it in front of their little eyes would have been much more difficult.

Parents, if your kids are into dinosaurs this is your weekend! Jurassic Quest, North Americas largest and most realistic dinosaur event, has setup upon Milwaukee. The exhibit walks you through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic Periods featuring over 100 true-to-life dinosaurs.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
In addition to the museum-quality dinosaurs, there are interactive elements like dinosaur trainers introducing baby dinosaurs to guests. Our host, a trainer named Bronto Brittany introduced us to a baby Camerisoras named Cammie. My boys, 7 and 9, played it cool in front of the trainer but whispered to me later that the baby dinosaur looked “SO REAL!”
There is an arts and crafts area, sandboxes for digging for fossils, dinosaur rides and (most popular for my guys) several bounce houses and a bungee pull.
Jurassic Quest is at the Wisconsin Center through the weekend. They are open until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Last entry is one hour prior to closing.
