‘Conan O’Brien Must Go’ Guest Shouts Out Wisconsin

‘Wisconsin USA’ Has a Fan on Conan O’Brien’s New Travel Show

Someone make this girl’s dream come true.

I gotta admit that I did not expect Wisconsin to get much love on “Conan O’Brien Must Go,” the new HBO Max show from the red-headed talk host mainstay. The show sees O’Brien travel around the globe to destinations like Norway, Argentina, Thailand and in episode four, Ireland.

And yet Wisconsin does indeed make an appearance during Conan’s trip to Dublin, when he meets Makira, a girl sporting a “Wisconsin USA” sweatshirt – and it’s great.

The exchange between Conan and her is a simple, yet memorable one:

“You’re living in Dublin, and your shirt says Wisconsin USA. What’s happening?”

“It’s just always been on my bucket to visit Wisconsin.”

“Why?”

“I just like the name.”

“You want to visit Wisconsin because you like the name?”

“It’s the dream, yeah.”

“Do you like cheese?”

“Yeah, I do.”

Shoutout Makira. We also think Wisconsin’s a great name, and it’s more than enough reason to come visit us. And we have so much cheese. We can only hope that Makira’s parents spring for the transatlantic trip someday, completely ignore New York and Los Angeles and Chicago, and bring Makira to the greatest of all the states.
