The weekly outdoor concert series begins June 5.

The Bay View Neighborhood Association is ready to kick off its annual concert series, Chill on the Hill tonight, June 5 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. From now until August 28 every Tuesday, Chill on the Hill features live musical performances at Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave.).

While listening to the performance of the week, feel free to BYOP (bring your own picnic) or sample some local food vendors. This year, Hue Vietnamese, Babe’s Ice Cream, Guanajuato Mexican, Gouda Girls and Tenuta’s Italian will all be there consistently, along with some guest vendors throughout the season.

As for the exciting lineup, artists range from classical to jazz and lots in between.

The opening acts begin at 6 p.m. with headliners at 6:30 p.m. There is available parking on the street or $5 grass parking on dry nights. If you’re a fan of the event, feel free to stop by a BVNA tent to purchase some Chill on the Hill merchandise available each Tuesday.
