It was another evening of delicious dining at this year’s Chef Event.

On Wednesday, Milwaukee Magazine‘s signature annual Chef Event returned to Downtown Kitchen. Over 200 people enjoyed delicious small plates and heard from some of our region’s top chefs in a candid panel discussion.

The event, co-hosted by The Bartolotta Restaurants, featured eight chefs, including multiple James Beard Award nominees:  Gregory León of Amilinda; Karen Bell of Bavette La Boucherie; Kyle Knall of Birch; Dan Jacobs and Dan Van Rite and DanDan and EsterEv; Adam Siegel of Lupi & Iris; Juan Urbieta of Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993; Justin Aprahamian of Sanford; and Stefano Viglietti of Trattoria Stefano and Il Ritrovo.

The evening featured signature cocktails from Dillon’s Small Distillers, wine from Waterford Wine & Spirits, and Nitro Cold Brew from Valentine Coffee Roasters. Milwaukee musician Joe Wray performed for the event.

For dinner, guests enjoyed eight delicious dishes, including crispy sweet potato, confit walleye, carcamusa, garofolato di manzo con verza al finocchietto, rabbit porchetta, dried apricot and wheat berry stew, sopa de mejillones, and agnello all’abruzzese.
