Bunzel’s Expects to Sell Hundreds of Pounds of Meat for Easter

But ham – or even lamb – isn’t the store’s runaway sales hit.

If Easter ham is your jam, listen up. Bunzel’s Meat Market & Catering (9015 W. Burleigh St.) expects to sell a few hundred of that dinner staple for the April 9 holiday. But ham – or even lamb – isn’t the store’s runaway sales hit. Fourth-generation butcher/owner Chip Bunzel says what really flies out the door is Polish sausage, with “hundreds of pounds” of the smoked sausage (made in-house) leaving the shop. “It’s kind of fun. People are really mixing up [their Easter traditions] these days,” says Bunzel, whose one rec is simple: Order ahead!
