First up on our show is the Chefs’ Holiday Wish List from the December issue of Milwaukee Magazine. I talked to six local chefs about what would be the ultimate holiday gift they’d like to receive this year. None mentioned a new Y-peeler or knapsack to carry their favorite knives. These are more sentimental, shall we say.
In the new-restaurants-to-come department, Washington Heights is getting a business called Paloma Tacos & Tequila. It is targeted to open in early 2020. Learn more about it.
At its Walker’s Point location, Indulgence Chocolatiers holds classes pairing chocolate with wine, beer, spirits, even tiki drinks. The company’s latest series of classes is quite tantalizing, as you’ll hear on our show.
The Bay View bar Lost Whale is one of seven drinking establishments taking part in the Repeal Day Party at Arts @ Large on Dec. 5. That means a whole lot of cocktail samples. And on its own, Lost Whale is also doing a Nightmare Before Christmas Holiday Pop-up from Dec.13 to Dec. 24. During that run, the Lost boys will be offering a new special cocktail every day. The profits from the sale of those cocktails will go to the Milwaukee homeless shelter Hope House.
