Wednesday, Sept. 6

The Milwaukee Beer Society tastes fruit beers from 6 to 9 p.m. at Best Place (901 W. Juneau Ave.). Cost is $10.

WarPigs, the 3 Floyds/Mikkeller collab, is taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). I’m a big fan of the Foggy Geezer IPA.

The Wild Wednesday Craft Beer Cruise hosts New Belgium Brewing. Choose between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Tickets are just $29.

Thursday, Sept. 7

The Boerner Brewtanical Series comes back to the Boerner Botanical Gardens (9400 W. Boerner Dr.) this fall. Westallion Brewing is the first of seven brewers schedules to share their beers and their story with attendees. The cost is just $15. Registration three days ahead of time is recommended. 5 Rabbit Cerveceria is bringing La Protesta Blonde Ale to Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.). The beer is the follow-up to the, ahem, election-themed Chinga Tu Pelo. 5 Rabbit is bringing a few other limited brews. Some of the proceeds benefit social causes. Cheers to that.

Friday, Sept. 8

The Bavarian Bierhaus (700 W. Lexington Blvd.) kicks off its epic month-long Oktoberfest celebration at 5 p.m. with German food, music and plenty of beer. General admission tickets are $10.

Fuel Café (630 S. 5th St.) hosts a release party for Lakefront Single Hop Centennial IPA, which earned acclaim by winning the Wisconsin IPA Festival earlier this month. I tried it, and it was very good, so get there at 7 p.m. to taste for yourself.

The Raised Grain Pop-Up Beer Garden comes to Muskego Park (S83 W20370 Janesville Rd.) starting at 4 p.m. and will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday,

Hinterland takes over the taps at Milwaukee’s Craft Beer Garden at Humboldt Park (3000 S. Howell Ave.).

Lakefront is bringing seven beers to the tap lines at Benno’s (7413 W. Greenfield Ave.) starting at 7 p.m.

Shorts brings samples to Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Try beers from Dead Bird Brewing and Dogfish Head at Discount Liquor Waukesha (919 N. Barstow St.) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 9

The annual extravaganza known as Erv-toberfest happens at Erv’s Mug (130 W. Ryan Rd.) from 5 to 7 p.m. Feast on a German buffet and sample more than 75 beers from all sorts of local and national brewers. The cost is $40 in advance (buy tickets at Erv’s) and $50 at the door.

New arrival beers are the subjects of the weekly free tasting at both Three Cellars locations (7228 S. 27th St. and N72 W13400 Lund Lane, Menomonee Falls) from 1 to 4 p.m.

Dogfish Head offers samples at Discount Liquor Milwaukee from noon to 3 p.m.

Discount Liquor Waukesha has samples from Short’s from 1 to 3 p.m.
