Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Nov. 4-9

Cheers to Stock House Brewing Co., which celebrates one year of business on Saturday. That, and plenty of other great events should keep beer fans busy.

Monday, Nov. 4

Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) releases a collaboration with Working Draft Beer Company. The brewery is tapping the Amber Bock made with rye, wild rice and golden naked oats at 5:30 p.m.

For the entire month of November, Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.) is hosting a food drive at its East Side location. Bring a food item from the specified list and receive your first beer free. Good deal. Great cause.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

Raised Grain Brewing (1725 Dolphin Dr., Waukesha) hosts a can and draft release of The Scrum Hazy IPA. Take home a four-pack or just enjoy a pour there.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

Epic Brewing is bringing a few of its outstanding Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stouts to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m. When it comes to barrel aging, Epic deserves plenty of praise and this year’s ambitious expanded lineup of Baptists should be pretty amazing.

Belgian beers are the spotlight at this week’s meeting of the Milwaukee Beer Society. Head to Best Place (901 W. Juneau) from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to sample a few of them.

The folks from Eagle Park Brewing are making a stop at Three Cellars (N72 W13400 Lund Ln., Menomonee Falls) from 5 to 8 p.m. They’ll be pouring eight different beers including the delicious Citra on the Dock of the Bay IPA.

Thursday, Nov. 7

A lot of hard work goes into Mitten Fest, the annual winter street party at Burnhearts (2599 S. Logan Ave.). Join in the planning at The Making of Mitten Fest Barrel Fill Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Bring a donation for Hunger Task Force and imbibe on Central Waters and Bell’s brews.

Upland Brewing is bringing a few special releases to Draft & Vessel (4417 N. Oakland Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 8

The Fermentorium (7481 State Rd. 60, Cedarburg) releases Watershed Moments, a golden ale that helps support environmental education and conservation. From 4 to 10 p.m., the staff of Riveredge Nature Center will be on hand to talk about what they do.

Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) is releasing a new beer (keep an eye on their Facebook page to find out more) and having Olano’s Empanadas make a stop. Both are reasons to be there.

Try samples from Indeed Brewing at Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) from 3 to 6 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 9

It’s the one-year anniversary for Stock House Brewing Co. (7208 W. North Ave.) from noon to 11 p.m. The festivities include live music, food by Lumpia City, door prizes and some seriously intriguing beer releases. Those include Rum Barrel-Aged Subtle Insults Imperial Stout, Right Side of Funk Saison aged in a Pinot Noir barrel, a Raspberry Coffee Porter, and more to be named later.

The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) is pouring a few vintage brews from Tyranena, including beauties like a 2017 Coco Poco, a coconut porter aged in rum barrels. Yes, please.

The last Brewery Running Series 5K of the year happens at Big Head Brewing (6204 W. State St.). Bundle up, pay $30 and get there in time for the noon start.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee hands out samples from Sierra Nevada from noon to 3 p.m.
