1840 Brewing is taking over the taps at Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.) at 5 p.m. The outfit in Bay View is creating some pretty amazing beer and I recommend a visit to Ray’s to try a few.
Hip & Hoppy Hour Yoga comes to Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.). The one-hour “hip hop infused” yoga session starts at 6:30 p.m. and is followed by a beer and a brewery tour. Cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
Thursday, Jan. 10
Milwaukee Brewing Company (1128 N. 9th St.) joins Glass + Griddle for a rare beers dinner. For $75 you get to try a five-course menu and six different rare brews from MKE Brewing.
Cheers to Barley’s Angels for celebrating its sixth annual beer dinner at Good City Brewing (2108 N. Farwell Ave.). The event, for women only, runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and costs $52. As of the weekend there weren’t too many tickets left.
Several beers from The Fermentorium are highlighted at a tap takeover event at The Brass Tap (7808 W. Layton Ave.) from 6 to 9 p.m.
Friday, Jan. 11
Ray’s Growler Gallery is tapping a few beers from Southern Grist Brewing at 5 p.m. Find out why the Nashville brewery is well regarded.
Lakefront Brewery’s Black Friday Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout is worth traveling for. At 6:30 pm., it’s being tapped at Kingpin Bowl and Ale House (1022 S. Main St., West Bend).
Saturday, Jan. 12
St. Francis Brewery (3825 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.) releases Snuggle Bunny, a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout brewed with orange blossom and cocao nibs, at 11 a.m. Bottles are $13.
Madison’s Funk Factory Geuzeria is setting up a pop-up bottle shop at Eagle Park Brewing (823 E. Hamilton St.) from 1 to 4 p.m. Head there for expertly crafted wild ales and lambics. Eagle Park will be tapping a few of them as well.
Untapped Tours hosts another 3-1/2 hour Riverwest brewery tour. The fun starts at 1:15 p.m. at Lakefront Brewery (1872 N. Commerce St.) and then heads to Gathering Place Brewing (811 E. Vienna Ave.), Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) and Company Brewing (735 E. Center St.). For $55 you get two small pours at each stop, a tour of each brewery, and a ride.
The Fermentorium (7481 State Rd. 60, Cedarburg) hosts Downdogs & Drafts, a one-hour yoga session at 11 a.m. For $15 you get a nice workout and tokens redeemable for beer.
Sunday, Jan. 13
Vinyasa flow yoga comes to Milwaukee Brewing’s Ninth Street location. The one-hour session begins at 10:30 a.m. The $12 registration fee includes the class and a beer afterward.
Yoga in Your Third Space comes to, well, Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.). The one-hour workout starts at 10:30 a.m. and costs $15.
