Lakefront Brewery is pouring samples at Ferch’s Crafthouse (418 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa) from 6 to 8 p.m. They’ll also be tapping an Oktoberfest.
It’s National Dog Day, and Brewed Omen (120 N. Main St., Hartford) is celebrating with a Yappy Hour from 5 to 6 p.m. The brewpub that began brewed its first batch last fall will have free dog treats and humans get $2 off draft beer.
Friday, Aug. 28
Torzala Brewing is pouring at the Bayside Beer Garden (600 E. Ellsworth Ln.) from 4 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 29
The Wisconsin Brewery Running Series wraps up its summer schedule at Ope! Brewing Co. (6751 W. National Ave., West Allis). The casual 5K charity fundraiser run starts at 11 a.m.; $44 includes a pint at the finish.
The Oktoberfest spirit begins with Foxtoberfest at Foxtown Station (6209 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon) from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Live music, German dancing, and plenty of German beer are all on the docket.

There’s a clothing swap happening at Indeed Brewing Co. (530 S. Second St.) from noon to 3 p.m. Bring clothes you no longer wear (but that are in good shape) and trade them for new ones.

Saturday, Sept. 12: Tune up your bike for Tour de Taps, a leisurely ride along the Oak Leaf and Hank Aaron trails that includes stops at the War Memorial Beer Garden, MobCraft Beer and the Estabrook Park Beer Garden. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and wraps up with a party at Estabrook at 4 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 12: Central Waters Brewing is marking its fifth year in Milwaukee (1037 W. Juneau Ave.) with a block party. The festivities include the release of three special brews.
Thursday, Sept. 17: The popular Flight Night comes to the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center (1111 E. Brown Deer Rd.). Meet a few birds of prey and sip on beers from nine area breweries.
Saturday, Oct. 8: Zoo Brew returns to the Milwaukee County Zoo (10005 W. Bluemound Rd.). Plenty of area breweries and food vendors will be there. Tickets start at $60.
