Mark your calendar for some fresh-baked carb goodness from the little sister of Honeypie.
Consider yourself handpie notified. SmallPie cafe (25o4 E Oklahoma Ave.) – little sibling of Honeypie (and Palomino) – is going to officially open the doors on Wednesday, August 8. Hours that day and everyday thereafter are 7 a.m.- 9 p.m. SmallPie is showcasing some specific things from the Honeypie Bakeshop Kitchen.
The cafe space is a small renovated old garage that opens to a sweet patio. It’s a new haunt to hang out with a beer or glass of wine and a savory or sweet baked good. To start, co-owner Val Lucks says SmallPie will have handpies (savory and sweet), homemade bagels, treats from the bakeshop, plus house cocktails and a small beer and wine list.
On SmallPie’s Instagram, you’ll spot a glass of Door County cherry limeade, as well as tantalizing things to come, including salads, cheesy garlic pull-apart bread and possibly croissants.
