Décor and lifestyle boutique URSA celebrates its recent store opening in Bay View with a grand-opening party on Saturday, October 14.
URSA, which opened over the summer in an airy storefront directly across from the Bay View library, stocks artisanal jewelry, apothecary products, home décor, apparel and plants. Owner Emily Kopplin hand-picks the home goods and greenery herself. She’s also the creative force behind the shop’s jewelry and apothecary lines.
And they’re a hit.
All of her jewelry and apothecary products available online, at shopursa.com, are currently sold out. But in-store shoppers still have plenty of to choose from – many of the items are lovingly arranged on wooden shelves near the store’s arched floor-ceiling windows.
Milwaukeeans will have the opportunity to see the store themselves on Friday October 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., during the grand-opening party.
The reception includes hors d’oeuvres, beer, cocktails, door prizes and a raffle sponsored by a variety of Milwaukee and Chicago based businesses. Winners receive local gift cards from the Bay View neighborhood.
URSA is located on 2534 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. and is open seven days a week. Opening hours vary.
