Crossroads Collective Food Hall (2238 N. Farwell Ave.) is getting a new vendor – Atwood Hwy BBQ Company. Southern BBQ is a cuisine many have been missing since Heaven’s Table BBQ left Crossroads to move to Washington Heights over a year ago. Atwood will take over the spot currently occupied by Hot Wax, known for burgers and Nashville hot chicken.
Atwood – which has a location that opened in South Milwaukee (925 Madison Ave.) in 2022 – offers burnt ends, pork skins, brisket, pulled pork, greens, cornbread, ribs and other items.

It’s time to pick your Milwaukee favorites for the year!
Hot Wax will continue to operate until March 12. Atwood is expected to open on April 10.
The name “Atwood Hwy” refers to the Tennessee roadway where co-owner Donteah Morehouse spent time during his formative years.
“Atwood Hwy BBQ is all about family,” owners Donteah and wife/business partner April Morehouse said via a press release. “We both learned to cook watching family members in the kitchen, and food has always been something that brings our families together. We put a lot of love into each dish we make, and it’s because when we serve food we’re really welcoming you into our family.”
