Check out Firkin Fest at Cathedral Square this weekend, dine with the spies at SafeHouse or treat yourself to a cannoli at Festa Italiana. This weekend was made for the foodies of Milwaukee.
Today, the Historic Third Ward is known for its trendy shops, great eats and proximity to the lakefront, not to mention the annual lineup of summer festivals it plays host to, including Festa Italiana. While many will enjoy the Italian festival this year (Friday, July 20, through Sunday, July 22), not many people know its history.
Looking for a short trip away from Milwaukee this weekend? Head to Madison, just over an hour’s drive west of Milwaukee. Here’s a tentative weekend itinerary.
Festival season continues as we hit mid-July.
Apart from being known as the largest music festival in the world, Summerfest is also known for its great (read: indulgent) food options. We set out to taste-test some of the new dishes for 2017 and a few festival favorites, too. Here’s what we thought.
Summerfest dominates this weekend, but there are plenty of other options for things to do around Milwaukee!
Summer means festivals and there is no shortage of options this weekend! From Strawberry Festival to Garlic Fest and Summer Soulstice, there’s truly one for everyone. Not a festival fan? There are workout and beer options too. Or try both together, the best of both worlds!
Through the end of the week, tickets are cheap! And there’s no better way to celebrate Italian culture than with some classic Italian food (cannolis and gelato) and music at Festa Italiana.
Beer lover? Art lover? U.S. Open fanatic? There’s an event for you this weekend!
Milwaukee is home to some of the greatest summer festivals and now we can add another to the list.
