As good if not better than its 1995 and 1999 predecessors, Toy Story 3 is a pure delight from its exciting start to its bittersweet end. Picking up about a decade after Toy Story 2, this latest installment of Disney-Pixar’s computer-animated family films finds Woody (Hanks) and the gang neglected by a now grown-up Andy (John Morris). As Andy heads off to college, the lively toys face their mortality when they inadvertently end up a perilous daycare. Though some climatic scenes are a bit too scary, especially for youngsters, Toy Story 3 is extremely funny and smart. Better yet, this third installment hasn’t lost a drop of the series’ adventurousness, heart and cleverness.
