It’s loud, it’s full of testosterone, and it fulfills the definition of a summer popcorn action flick. Based on the 1983-’87 TV series, The A-Team is about a ragtag quartet of exiled soldiers led by Neeson. After the soldiers are framed for a crime they didn’t commit, Hannibal (Neeson), Face (Cooper), B.A. Baracus (Jackson) and Murdock (Copley) encounter flying bullets, catastrophic crashes and brooding bad guys as they work to clear their names. The action is so intense and constant that it’s mind-numbing. But many of the stunts are impressively cool, and plenty of sly jokes and gags abound. All the actors are having fun, but District 9‘s Copley steals the show as the hilariously crazy Murdock.
