Go see a matinee show for $10, which includes valet parking and a large popcorn. Arrive early for happy hour and bring your drink into the movie. Happy Hour specials, which are Mondays through Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Sequel Bar and Lounge, include $5 cocktails and $3 draft beers.

Specialty cocktails range from the themed Oscar, made with Guinness, champagne and Elderflower Liqueur, to the classic martini. Paradise ($8) was made with Gran Centenario Plata Tequila, passion fruit and blood orange juice in a salt-rimmed glass. I thought the salt was a bit too much and overpowered the taste of the fruity concoction. One bartender said the Cucumber Tonic ($8) was a popular and refreshing choice. It’s made with 360 Vodka, fresh cucumber, lime and tonic. Dessert martinis include one called Apple Pie a la Mode, which has Laird’s Applejack, Frangelico, Apple Pie filling, vanilla custurd and a pastry crumble rim.

You can purchase your movie tickets online at www.ipicentertainment.com and choose your exact seat location in one of the plush red loveseats. Each theater is decorated with paintings on the walls as to resemble a comfortable living room.

If you don’t like smelling like smoke or eating greasy food in a typical bowling alley, IPic offers a refreshing escape. Music videos play on large screens at the end of the bowling lanes with a television screen in the middle. The environment makes bowling enjoyable even for non-bowlers or perfect for corporate outings.

The bars in IPic stay open on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 a.m. and throughout the week until midnight. After 6 p.m. you must be with your parents and after 9 p.m. you must be 21-years-old. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, parking can be confusing, but follow the signs leading you to the iPic parking structure.
