V.I.P…Milwaukee?
When you think of V.I.P., do you envision red carpets, exclusive treatment or celebrity sightings? Images of smiling, gorgeous people passing around a bottle of bubbly pop into my mind, with Kanye West’s “Welcome to the Good Life,” playing in the background.
It seems “very important people” are multiplying in our nightlife scene. That’s if you consider a V.I.P. someone who enjoys bottle service, purchasing an entire bottle of liquor to drink in the club.
Decibel DeepBar (1905 E. North Ave.) is one such club offering bottle service, ranging from $150 to $210, on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Partner Dustin Bowie says, “We have six V.I.P. tables in Decibel, which go the fastest, and two couch sections in DeepBar. Bottles have been sold on bar-tops when all tables are completely sold out.”
Bottle service is no longer reserved exclusively for champagne, nor is it saved for birthdays and bachelorette parties. Vodka is coming onto the scene in a big way and any more and more patrons are viewing any night out as a valid reason to order bottle service. According to Bowie, V.I.P. favorites include Effen, Grey Goose and Absolut brands. Patron, Jaeger and Jack Daniels are also popular for shots.
While you may feel like an A-lister ordering bottle service at a hot downtown club, it can also prove to be cost effective when going out with a group of people. You can often get away without paying cover charges if you call ahead and reserve a table and bottle.
We may not live in Los Angeles, but even in the Midwest, we deserve to be treated like celebrities every once and awhile. Live up the good life in Milwaukee. Cheers!
