Do you want to play? Watching the Olympics makes the rest of us feel a bit inspired, doesn’t it? The Style Games is a fun community competition in the Milwaukee area. One boutique, one salon and one model will join forces to create one single look best representing the businesses’ styling skills. A single photograph is taken of the model’s finished style and sent to The Style Games for voting on Milwaukee Magazine’s website. The winner will be chosen by the readers.

The photo can be as theatrical or as classic as you’d like; there are no rules on WHAT the “look” has to be.

There are already many boutiques and salons involved, but still room to join in the game! Those interested in participating in The Style Games should email their information to thestylegames@gmail.com by August 31, 2012.

Please include which businesses are involved as a team, and a contact phone number. Want to keep up-to-date with The Style Games? Visit the FacebookTwitter, and Tumblr pages.

May the most fashionable win!

Lyneé Ruiz started her career in beauty as a salon hairstylist at Carenza in Brookfield. Seven years later, she signed as a hair and makeup artist for Ford Models in Chicago and Miami. While her job consists of being on sets for advertising, editorial, TV, and backstage at New York Fashion Week, Milwaukee will always be home. Writing about tips and tricks she learns along the way for Milwaukee Magazine is one of her favorite creative outlets.
