“…clunky and obvious…” David Denby, The New Yorker

The perfect partnership of TV comedy titans Carell and Fey is the main reason to see this hilarious comedy adventure. Though better known to audiences as The Office’s Michael Scott and 30 Rock’s Liz Lemon, the duo stars here as Phil and Claire Foster, an ordinary New Jersey couple looking to spice up their relationship with an exciting Date Night in New York City. Bullets fly and chaotic chases ensue, however, when a case of mistaken identity sends the Fosters running for their lives — and marriage. Though unapologetically zany and boasting some ridiculous gags, Carell and Fey make Date Night a fun screwball rather than juvenile and lame. Some amusing cameos pop up, but the funniest belongs to James Franco and Mila Kunis who play the couple for whom the Fosters are mistaken.
