Wednesday, March 21: honeyhoney at Shank Hall, 8 p.m. ($10)
Honeyhoney brings about a strange pairing of little-known TV actress Suzanne Santo and recording pro Ben Jaffe. Together, they have found fast success, even landing a spot on Kiefer Sutherland’s record label, Ironworks Music.  (1434 N. Farwell Ave., ShankHall.com)

Thursday, March 22: Megafaun at Cactus Club, 10 p.m.
Recently returned from playing a series of Spain and Portugal shows and presently in the throes of a U.S. tour, Megafaun will take temporary residence at the Cactus Club. Its members hail from Western Wisconsin and used to play in Durham, N.C., band DeYarmond Edison with Bon Iver mastermind Justin Vernon. A band breakup is partially credited for sending Vernon into Wisconsin woods to record his debut EP. Though the remaining DeYarmond Edison members don’t have any Grammys or international fame and fortune to their credit (to our knowledge), they went on to form a respectable indie act, Megafaun.

Also playing is brand new and buzzed-about Milwaukee act Field Report (ex Conrad Plymouth)—fresh from playing SXSW last week. This is one of Milwaukee’s first opportunities to see Field Report and one of the only chances for a while, as the band will support the Megafaun tour for 14 more shows. (2496 S. Wentworth Ave., CactusClubMilwaukee.com)

Also: Delta Spirit at Turner Hall, 7 p.m. ($15) – (1032 N. 4th St., PabstTheater.org)

And: The Wailers at The Rave, 8 p.m. ($24.50) – (2401 W. Wisconsin Ave., TheRave.com)

Friday, March 23: Andrew W.K. at The Rave, 7:30 p.m. ($20)
No musician has contributed more to the canon of party songs than one Andrew Wilkes Krier, better known as Andrew W.K., has. He burst into Earth’s collective consciousness with 2001’s I Get Wet, which featured such odes to good times as “Party Hard” and “It’s Time To Party.” The rocker’s specific musical niche, his affable personality and well-rounded talents have led to TV shows, business ventures and motivational speaking engagements. However, W.K. hasn’t forgotten what brought him to notoriety. To celebrate the album’s 10th birthday, he will perform all of I Get Wet each night of this tour. (2401 W. Wisconsin Ave., TheRave.com)

Also: Boyz II Men at Potawatomi Casino’s Northern Lights Theater, 8 p.m. ($35) (1721 W. Canal St., PaysBig.com)

And: Trapper Schoepp And The Shades, Archie Powell And The Exports, and The Ragadors at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn, 9 p.m. ($5) (1001 E. Locust St., Linnemans.com)

MUSIC NOTES SHOW OF THE WEEK
Saturday, March 24: Andrew Bird with Eugene Mirman at Riverside Theater, 7 p.m. ($32.50)
After he left the nest of Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire in 2003, Andrew Bird took his namesake and set out on a solo career. The six subsequent full-lengths, six live albums and handful of EPs have helped Bird gain widened respect throughout the independent music scene and beyond. Adding even more variety and entertainment value to this show is the wry humor of alternative comic Eugene Mirman, who will open for Bird. (116 W. Wisconsin Ave., PabstTheater.org)

Also: Jane’s Addiction at The Rave, 8:30 p.m. ($40) – (2401 W. Wisconsin Ave., TheRave.com)

And: Disguised As Birds and Crappy Dracula at Frank’s Power Plant, 9:30 p.m. – (2800 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., FranksPowerPlant.Angelfire.com)

Sunday, March 25: B.B. King at Potawatomi Casino’s Northern Lights Theater, 8 p.m. ($65)
“The King of Blues” needs no introduction. So he won’t get one. This show is a must see for anyone with an appreciation for classic blues and amazing musicianship in general. (1721 W. Canal St., PaysBig.com)
